<p>With the forest canopy just hanging overhead above your room and with the screeching of birds and the squeaking of squirrels around you, Dandeli gives you hands down feel of the forest throughout your stay.&nbsp;</p> <p>Dandeli is situated about 100Kms from Belgaum on the Western Ghats. This deciduous forest reserve is home to the Great Pied Hornbills and the Malabar Giant Squirrels. The intermittent openings in the canopy of these semi-evergreen and deciduous forests give us the perfect opportunities for photography the beautiful fauna.</p> <p>An unlimited experience in the wild is what this camp can offer you.</p>

Itinerary

Depart from Pune at 6 AM. Travel to Dandeli via Bangalore highway with packed breakfast. Reach Dandeli by 1 PM. Enjoy delicious Lunch and rest. Evening visit to the Supa dam view point to spot the Malabar pied hornbills as the look for a roosting site. Stay at Dandeli.

Early morning visit to the Timber Depot with packed breakfast.  Expect to spot forest birds such as the White bellied Woodpecker, Malabar grey hornbill, Jungle Owlet, Crested Serpent Eagle, etc. Return to campsite for lunch and rest. Spend evening in the forest surrounding the campsite. Stay at Dandeli.

Visit the beautiful dense forests of Syntheri rocks and Ulvi road. Expect to see the elusive Malabar Trogon and the Flame throated Bulbul. Return for Lunch. Spend evening looking for nocturnal bird life such as the Brown Fish Owl. Stay at Dandeli.

Take a quick morning stroll around the campsite and return in time for pack up. Depart for Pune post lunch with loads of photos and memories.

Non - AC Swiss tents on twin sharing basis at a forest campsite.
