Deoria Tal is one of such vistas that captivates anybody with its charismatic appeal. At a height of 3200 meters, Deoria Tal’s crystalline water offers spell-bound images of its beautiful surroundings. It is believed that it was the place from where the mighty Pandavas were asked queries by Yaksha. The lake is surrounded by a soothingly inclined field bounded by a deep wood cover. Lakes emerald waters are ideally matched with the rhododendrons and the lofty tree Mahal, with pure pallid flower heads. Set majestically in the lap of the magnificent mountain peaks, Deoria Tal is a popular destination among the challenging lots. Chopta is a small settlement and valley in Uttarakhand, located at 3000m asl. It is famous amongst adventure buffs as it provides a multitude of opportunities for different adventure activities. It is also the starting point of the famous Tungnath Trek. Birders are the happiest here as they get to witness a number of different species just outside their room! Tungnath is the highest situated temple in the region at about 3680m asl. Though comparatively small -- 50 ft -- it leaves an indelible mark because of its high altitude setting and the solid granite slabs from which it is built. In the sanctum, the dark left-tilting foot-high lingam is the center of attraction. Chandrasheela literally means "Moon Rock". It is located at a height of about 3,690 meters asl. This peak provides views of the Himalayas, including Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba peaks. There are various legends associated with this place. According to one such legend, this is the place where Lord Rama meditated after defeating the demon-king Ravana. Another legend says that moon-god Chandra spent time here in penance.

Morning drive from Mastura to Pothibasa (08 kms). Start trek from Pothibasa to Chopta (7km). Arrive at Chopta (2700m asl). Overnight stay.
Start trek from Chopta to Tungnath (3680m asl) (03 hrs, 6km). Tungnath to Chandrashila (4100 mt asl) & back (1km). Back in evening time. Over night stay.
Drive from Chopta to Haridwar. Drive 225 kms. Drop at Haridwar.
