When it comes to wildlife safaris Kenya has a rich history and in many ways developed the modern African safari so many people enjoy today. Arrival at Nairobi and transfer to Amboseli.
The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attraction of the park includes opportunities to meet the Masai people and also offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Enjoy Morning and Evening game drives in the national park.
Breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Lake Naivasha with packed Lunch. Lake Naivasha is surrounded by stands of papyrus and is birds- watchers paradise. Water birds exist in great variety and abundance. Fish eagle, herons and egrets, lily-trotters, red-knobbed coots and black crakes can be found within the area of this beautiful lake. In addition, to the bird population, over 500 hippos reside in the lake. After lunch enjoy one hour exciting boat ride at the lake, then return to your lodge, rest of your evening at leisure at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha.
Breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at your Lodge and relax before departing for an afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles. Dinner and overnight stay at Fig tree. Proceed for an early morning game drive which takes approximately 02hrs with packed breakfast. Return to the lodge for lunch then later, set out on a late afternoon game spotting safari in the reserve which takes approx 02hrs and the opportunity to spot Africa’s ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. OR After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! After a picnic lunch proceed for another exciting game drive until sun set. Dinner overnight stay at Fig Tree.
This is your full day in Masai Mara National Reserve to enjoy yet another day of full day game activities which include game drives and Walking Safaris on the Escarpment. As you traverse the plains of Mara, you will surely appreciate its uniqueness, beauty and abundance of wildlife. All meals and overnight stay at Fig Tree.
Early morning safari, check out post lunch and drive via Narok to the Capital city. Dinner and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight back home.
